Pie handling and preparation instructions.

Malibu Pies should be refrigerated or frozen at all times.

Cooking instructions for a Defrosted Malibu Pie

            Unwrap the pie completely from all wrapping.
            Place on a wire grid in the oven.
            Turn the oven to 400 degrees (do not pre-heat the oven)
            Remove carefully after 15 minutes
            Allow to stand for 8-10 minutes to cool down.

Just because the outside seems at the right temperature to eat, remember, the inside is piping hot !  Just wait.  (you can poke holes in the lid with a fork to speed up the cooling process).
Also cut in half or quarters.

Cooking instructions for a Frozen Malibu Pie
            Unwrap the pie completely from all wrapping.
            Place on a wire grid in the oven.
            Turn the oven to 300 degrees (do not pre-heat the oven)
            Remove carefully after 30 minutes
            Cut the Pie in half and replace in the over for 10 more minutes,
            then remove both halves.
            Allow to stand for 8-10 minutes to cool down.

Malibu Pies are all cooked on the inside first completely, while the outside pastry is cooked 90 %.   The remainder of the cooking of the pastry is done in the final stage when the pie is prepared for eating, as instructed above,  to provide that fresh baked taste.
